Question:
Hello. I currently have a WFCO 8735 converter in my travel trailer. I am looking at upgrading to something that is lithium ready. Can you please tell me which model I need to upgrade to? Thanks in advance

Hey Lance, thanks for the information! I don't have just a lithium compatible replacement converter for your WFCO 8735. The best solution I have is the Progressive Dynamics Mini Panel item # PD4045KA. This 45 amp panel will replace everything you currently have and is a similar size so the install won't be too difficult.
How big of a lithium battery setup are you planning on going with and what kind of trailer do you have?
You can add this information and any other questions you have where it says Reply to Jerred H and I'll be happy to answer them.

Hi Jerred. First, thanks for replying. I have a 2017 KZ Escape 180G camper. Last year i swapped out the standard battery for 2 6-volt golf cart batteries for a total of 240 amp hours, which in reality is only 120 considering they are lead acid. Still, a step up from the single 12v. We are planning on doing a lot more dry camping starting with next year, so we need to step up our game even though we will have a generator along. Looking at a minimum of a 300ah battery. The battery I'm looking at is a Vatrer 300ah. I'm still poking around for more information, but why wouldn't the WFCO WF-8735-AD work as a converter upgrade? I do see your suggestion is 45 amp whereas the WFCO is only 35. Out of curiosity, the photos of the Progressive show the 12v wires coming out of the unit are NOT color coded. Is there a reason for that?
