Replacing WFCO 8735 with Progressive Dynamics PD4135K

Question:

Hi folks,,I hope youre doing well,,,the wfco 8735 currently in my rv no longer charges, or converts,,Im considering the progressive dynamics 4135 as a replacement,,will this unit fit in the same cut out as the wfco?...also,,Im using a 2 battery set up,,2× 12 volt batteries parallel,,would the pd converter work better with the batteries hooked separately,,Im thinking that the pd 4135 has 2 battery lines,,....your advice will be greatly appreciated...cheers..

The Progressive Dynamics RV Power Control Center with AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger - 35 Amp, # PD4135K, requires cutout dimensions of 10-1/4" long x 7" tall. Please compare this to your current installation for fitment.

I suggest having batteries wired in parallel.
