How do PD4045KA and PD4045KV CONVERTER differ between the two. I need to replace a PD4045KA.

The Progressive Dynamics Mighty Mini AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger # PD4045KA is actually the same unit as the PD4045KV. The KV is just an alternate part number for the same unit so this is the one that you want for a replacement.
