I am purchasing a new Mercedes 2020 144WB 2500 Sprinter Van with a rear step down bumper. Do you sell a hitch assembly that will accommodate the rear step bumper? Thanks.

Yes, we do sell a hitch that is compatible with the factory step bumper on your 2020 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500. It is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 75601. This hitch is custom fit and designed to fit the 144WB of your Sprinter van. I have attached an installation video.
This hitch also comes with a bracket to mount a 7-way vehicle connector. I recommend the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness w Brake Controller Adapter - 7 Way Trailer Connector item # TK22115.
The Tekonsha wiring harness also comes with a brake controller adapter. The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller item # 90195 is compatible with this harness. It is a proportional brake controller that works with trailers having up to 4 axles.
To complete your towing setup I recommend the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball and a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop. It also includes a hitch pin and clip, hitch receiver lock with keys, hitch cover, and a storage case.
