Question:
Not sure which trailer hitch to get for my 2022 Kia Sportage. What's the difference between the Curt and etrailer? Which is better? Thanks

There are a few small differences between the etrailer # e72TR and the Curt # C13281 Class III hitches, both of which are confirmed fits for a 2022 Kia Sportage.
Both hitches would install in a similar manner, and the installation shares the same level of difficulty. The etrailer has a higher capacity at 4500 lbs towing/675 lbs tongue weight while the Curt has a 3500 lb towing/525 lb tongue weight capacity. However, the capacity advantage isn't really relevant because the capacity will be limited to the 2000 lb towing/220 lb tongue weight capacity Kia lists in the owner's manual.
If I had to choose between the two, I'd go with the Curt because they tend to do a slightly nicer job with their powder coat finish and their hitches are manufactured in the USA.
I've linked to install instructions and step by step install videos for the hitches and trailer wiring harness mentioned above.
If you'll be towing with the hitch, you'll also need a few other items to complete your towing system. For a trailer wiring harness, use part # 118698 along with a mounting bracket you'd construct using part # 18144 and # 18140. For a ball mount, use # 2753 along with # 19260 for a 1-7/8 or # 63845 for a 2 inch ball.
