Question:

I have a horse trailer with lights, that id like to be able to use when not connected. I need to replace the breakaway system as well. Can i use a breakaway system with the included external charger in the kit, on a slightly larger lawn and garden battery? Clearly I wouldnt be able to use the included box, but i have a battery location already and would like to have only a single battery there, that is also wired to the switch that turns on the tack room light. Is this possible?

If you had a larger battery than what comes with a breakaway kit like the # 20020 it could be used to power interior lights as well as perform the breakaway function, but legally this would be something you'd have to check with your local DOT on. We have slightly larger batteries like the 20.5 amp hour # BRW97FR.
