Question:

Can a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 RST 4 wheel driver be towed behind a motorhome?

If your 2021 Silverado 1500 4x4 has a transfer case with a Neutral and a 4WD low setting, it can be flat towed.

You'll need base plates like the Blue Ox # BLU54VR, a tow bar like the Blue Ox Alpha 2 tow bar, part # BX7380 which also includes the safety cables you'll need.

To wire the truck's taillights so they work in synch with those of the motorhome, I'd go with a diode system like the Roadmaster # RM-15267. You'll also need an # RM-766 battery disconnect, as the owner's manual states that the negative battery cable needs to be disconnected before flat towing the vehicle. The disconnect allows the battery to be disconnected with the push of a button. For a braking system, use the Demco Stay in Play DUO, part # SM99251 for motorhomes with hydraulic brakes or the Demco Air Force One # SM99243 if the motorhome has air brakes.

If the installed height of the base plates has a height difference greater than 3 inches compared to the hitch height of the motorhome, you'll also need a high/low adapter.
