Does the Draw-Tite Hitch for a 2022 BMW X5 Require Trimming the Fascia

Question:

I have a 2022 BMW X5, does the Drawtite hitch that fits my car require any modification to the car? I saw that I may have to trim the fascia.

The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76288 that is confirmed to fit your 2022 BMW X5 will require you to trim the fascia on your bumper and mounting plate. But these trimmings are not going to be visible with the hitch installed. You will need to trim off a small section of the fascia as shown in the first photo. In addition to that trimming, the bumper beam mounting plate will need to be slightly trimmed by 1 inch like shown in the second photo. All of this is covered in more detail in the installation instructions which I have included.
