For flat-towing your manual LS model 2022 Chevy Spark behind your RV, you will need a base plate, a tow bar, a supplemental braking system, safety cables, and tow bar wiring. Here's a setup of the following parts you need:
- Blue Ox Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # BX1725
- Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar - Motorhome Mount - 2" Hitch # BX7420 (comes with safety cables)
- Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251
- Roadmaster Smart Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Wiring Kit for Variable Voltage Incandescent Tail Lights # RM26FR
The great thing about the Blue Ox base plate kit is that is simply installs into your Spark's chassis with all mounting hardware included. As far as the Blue Ox Avail, it allows for you to easily release your vehicle even in uneven ground and simply slides into the RV's hitch receiver without the need of a ball mount. It also comes with longer arms than other models for optimal maneuvering. In addition, you will also receive the proportional action of the SBS Stay-IN-Play which applies the Spark's brakes at the same level that you apply the brakes to your RV. With the diode kit, this will allow you to connect your RV's tail, brake, and turn signal lights to your Spark's lighting system.
