Question:
I recently upgraded my land gear motor to the 6500. I am now blowing fuses under a load. Battery power is good but I do need to check it while the motor is running to see if it goes down. My question is since I went with a bigger motor do I need to increase the size of the fuse? The current fuse is 30 amp.

Expert Reply:
If you are blowing the 30 amp fuse with the new motor, then yes I do recommend going with a 40 amp fuse or circuit breaker, like the Pollak # 9510. However, I do also suggest double checking your grounds as a bad one can also cause fuses to blow. If all those look good, definitely up it to a 40 amp.
