how do I remove the dome?

The removal of a trailer roof vent dome will vary by model but most use a fairly standard hinge design which requires releasing the lift arm from the center and then sliding the dome to either side once partially open for removal. The hinges can become rusted so it may require some penetrating oil and elbow grease. They don't all remove the same way but this method is most common and you can send a photo if you feels yours is different.
