Can't Get Air To Go In Reese 94716 Goosebox

Updated 10/23/2025 | Published 09/25/2025

Question:

I have a reese goosebox, 94716, and I cannot seem to get air in the unit. They have switched the air fill valve to the same style as on the 20 K model. I have tried three different air trucks.Along with an extension, screwed into the valve and still cannot get air to go into the bag.Any suggestions? Thanks for any help. You can give me.

Hello Lee, thanks for reaching out. If air won't go in at all it could be a bad/clogged valve. You could also have a major leak somewhere. Have you tried a soap test to see if there are any leaks?

Hey Lee, did the soap test show any leaks in your Goose Box air system? Knowing what you found could really help others who run into the same issue.

@JesseM Thanks. I found out the problem is the port on the airbag must have a small orifice in it, so not to allow air into it too quickly.
