What Snow Plow do You Recommend for My 2012 Jeep Compass?

Question:

Hello: I was looking at plows for my 2012 Jeep Compass. It looks like there are 6 options, ranging from different prices, with plow widths ranging from 82 to 88. They all seem to have the same description, some saying Elite. Why are some plows more than others? It cant be the size - the most expensive is the 82. Any insight? Thank you.

Apart from the size of the plows, another economic factor is whether the plow is electric actuator driven like the Detail K2 Rampage II Elite Snowplow - Custom Mount # K2RAMP8219ELT or electric winch driven like the Detail K2 Rampage II Snowplow # K2RAMP8219. The actuator-driven capability is generally easier to maintain and generally lasts about twice as long as a winch-driven plow.

If you want a more economical option that still includes an actuator mechanism, I recommend the Detail K2 Elite II Snowplow # K2STOR8422ELT along with the Custom Mounting Brackets # K284200.
