Does increasing your wheel diameter to a 17.5inch wheel from a 16inch wheel in crease the ride height of your trailer?

Expert Reply:
No, switching from a 16" wheel to a 17.5" wheel will not increase ride height. This really comes down to size as there are different size tires for each of these wheel options. If we take the largest tire size we offer for each, 235/85-16 like Karrier part # AM10501 and 215/75-17.5 like Provider part # TTWP15175, the 235/85 measures 31.6" diameter and the 215/75 measures 30.2" so you'll actually be losing about .7" in height. If you have a 235/80-16 like the Westlake part # LHWL401 then this will be about the same height as a 215/75-17.5.
The main benefit form upgrading to 17.5" wheels and tire is increased capacity. I have attached a full list of wheel and tire combos in this size below.
