Video Transcript for Review of MORryde Replacement 24 PT Rubber Shear Spring - MR95UR

Hello, neighbors. Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Replacement #24 PT Rubber Shear Spring for your MORryde Trailer and RV Suspension Systems. So, folks, this again is our Replacement #24 Rubber Shear Spring for those MORryde LRE, RS, and our SRS suspension systems. So, it has a number 24 embossed into the rubber coating here. I'll show you that right there.

That helps you know which one you need. So, if you replacing one, you should have an embossed number there, and this is the number 24. And, as far as some dimensions, let's get a ruler out real quick. I was getting 4-1/4 side to side. I was getting 7-3/4" tall.

And, as far as the mounting hole dimensions, I was getting 3" on center. And then on the up and down on center, I was getting 6-1/2". Now, there is some little tabs here on the outside. The rectangle part on the inside here is 7" tall by 4-1/4. And let's get those mounting hole dimensions real quick.

Center to center, I was getting 1-1/8. So, again, on these guys here, 1-1/8, center to center. So, folks, again, replacement part direct for MORryde for a #24 PT Rubber Shear Spring. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.

Received in time and packaged very well, reasonable price. Not happy that I had to replace after 6 years of moderate usage, but that is not etrailer's fault, just the MorRyde design.

  • Replacement Rubber Shear Spring for MORryde on 2010 Jayco Designer 35RLTS
Hi David; are you able to see a number on the existing shear springs? There are a wide variety of replacements so I will need some more information. For example, if you have an LRE, RS, or SRS with #16 embossed into the rubber of the spring you need the # MR35UR. If you have a #24 you need the # MR95UR and if it is a #20 you need # MR79UR. I attached a link below with all of our available replacements for your reference. If your shear spring number doesn't match one of the ones we carry...

  • Is Higher Numerical MORryde Shear Pins Mean Stiffer Springs
Hey Rick, yes the 24 shear spring part # MR95UR does fit in place of the 16 you have and it has a stiffer spring characteristic. This would be what you are looking for it sounds like. The higher the number the higher the weight capacity axles it is intended for.

  • Replacement Shear Spring Options For A MORryde Equalizer

  • Is It Safe To Travel With Worn Shear Spring On A MORryde Suspension System
Hey Paul, You most likely could still pull the trailer if you really needed to even though the shear spring # MR35UR needs to be replaced, I just would make it a short trip and get it swapped out. A bad shear spring can lead to a rough ride quality and allow for more sway. At that length there's a greater chance for sway as it is. The shear spring cushions the suspension so without it the other components will start to wear faster as well. There should be a number embossed into the...
