Does the receiver tube go under or through the lower air dam?

The Draw Tite front hitch # DT44HR that fits your 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 comes through the lower air dam. The reason it does not come out under it is because that would put the hitch pretty low to the ground. You will have to trim a small section of the air dam to accomplish this. You can see this outlined in the linked install instructions.
