Question:

I have a Atwood 82542 Actuator on an old SMP boat trailer and cant find parts or an new actuator. Im looking for a new actuator that would replace it. Do you have a recommendation? Thank you,

Atwood stopped making actuators a while back which is why you aren't able to find a replacement or any replacement parts. So for a solution to replace what you have the Dexter DX7.5 part # 099-175-00 would be a great solution if you have drum brakes or the part # 099-175-20 for disc brakes. I really like how easy the coupler of these actuators work as basically you can just drop them onto the ball and they latch themselves.
