Will Universtal Wheel Holder Kit Fit Older Hollywood Racks Sport Rider 2-Bike Rack HR1450?

Question:

Back in 2018 I ordered a Hollywood bike rack from you. The order form says it is an HR1450 rack, with no letter after. Your info for this universal set of holders HR89FR, says it will fit HR1450Z-E, so Im not sure it will fit my rack, although it looks like it should. So, will it fit my rack? I just bought a fat tire bike and the 4inch tires wont fit my HR1450 rack as is. Thanks.

The bike rack you ordered back in 2018 is indeed the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider HR1450 with no letter. This was discontinued by the manufacturer and updated.

However my contact at Hollywood Racks confirmed that the Universal Wheel Holder Kit for Hollywood Racks Sport Rider E-Bike Rack # HR89FR you were looking at would work perfectly as the rack uses 1-1/4" square tubing for the wheel holder to attach to, and this has always been the exact same size no matter which iteration of the Sport Rider rack.

With that said your particular rack is only rated for 50lbs per bike, so you will need to make sure you stay under that rating as this will not increase the ratings of your rack in any way.
