I am looking for a trailer wiring harness for my 2022 Chevy equinox but see there are quite a few options making it a little confusing to find the right one for me. I do not have a trailer hitch yet, so I do not think I have the tow package.

The correct trailer wiring harness for your 2022 Chevy Equinox without the tow package will depend on which trim model it is. If your Equinox is the Premier model then you will need to go with the Tekonsha T-One Connector # 118759, and if it is any model other model then you will need the # 118750 instead.
Now if you have not already decided on a trailer hitch receiver to go with this wiring then I recommend taking a look at the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C77FR. This hitch has a 675lb tongue weight rating and 4,500lb trailer weight rating making this a great choice for towing a trailer, though you will want to check the towing capacity of your vehicle in its owner's manual and use the lower rating between the hitch and vehicle.
