Will the etrailer.com Hitch e98856 fit a 3 Inch RV Bumper

Question:

Im interested in the dimensions of the opening of the mount. Im looking for a solution to mount on my RV and this seems like an option for retro-fit... The bumper/frame on my RV is C channel that is 8inch tall x 3inch thick with a 2inch lip on the inside. Please see the attached photo. I would seek to drill and bolt this to the to the bottom of the frame. I need to know if the opening is close to my 3inch dimension. The bottom of the frame at the red circle is 3. I would obviously need to move my license plate to implement this plan.

I had the width of the frame bracket on the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Matte Black Finish - Class III - 2" # e98856 measured and it will be 3-1/16 inches. You may need a small spacer to make this work, but it will be the best option we currently have available. However, this hitch may be rated higher than your bumper, so you will need to make sure of its capacities before loading.
