Question:

I need to extend past a certain point. Can i use this hitch but purchase a separate shank with a 2 5/16 ball that is longer? If so what would be the longest shank you sell with a 2 5/16 ball. Solid shank preferably. and if this is doable. Could it be shipped so i get it no later than this thursday to area code 97317?

I believe you're referring to is the Pro Series Round, Pipe-Mount Swivel Jack # PS1401440303, and the pipe this mounts too cannot be bolted on, it must be welded on.

For this reason I recommend the Fulton Marine Jack - Square Tube, Fixed Mount # HD50000101. This jack has a capacity of 5,000lbs and has a total lift of 28"; this jack is used on trailer frames up to 3" wide and 5" tall.

We do have some options for you depending on what you have, these may work for you. The first option you can do is use a hitch extender # C45791; this will extend your hitch's receiver opening by 8". However, whenever you use any type of hitch extender, you will loose 50 percent of your hitch's capacity. Next, you we also have the BulletProof Hitches Adjustable 2-Ball Mount for 2" Hitch # ED2010. This ball mount features a 10" rise/drop and measure's 20 1/4" with the ball platform installed. This product is also capable of a 12K capacity when used with the 2" ball, and 30K capacity when used with the 2 5/16" ball. However, this does require 25"-27" of clearance from the bottom of the inside of the receiver tube to the ground. Lastly, we do also offer the BulletProof Hitches Adjustable 2-Ball Mount for 2" Hitch # ED206. This product measures 18 1/4" with the ball platform installed, and features the same maximum weight capacities as # ED2010. This ball mount also requires quite a bit of ground clearance, of 19"-21" from the bottom of the inside of the receiver tube to the ground.
