Which RV A/C Will Replace a Coleman Mach 8 A/C Unit With Heat Pump

Question:

To replace the Coleman Mach 8 # 47024B679 with the Advent Accol150 on my Monaco coach would the heat strip operate with the old heat pump setting on my existing thermostat? Do I need any additional wiring to install this unit? Will it for onto my existing ductwork? Can I get a list of part numbers that I would need to order. Also the unit I need would be black in color.

I have another option for you, but I spoke to a contact for the company that manufactures the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Coleman Setup w/ Start Capacitor - 15,000 Btu - White # ACCOL150 will not work with the heat pump option. She said that none of the Advent A/C's will work with the heat pump.

The option I have is the Atwood Air Command Rooftop RV Air Conditioner w/ Heat Pump - 15,000 Btu - Ducted - Black # AT15033-22. The Atwood A/C unit will work with your existing ductwork and come with everything you need to install it. This unit will require using the thermostat and ceiling assembly that are included.
