Yes, the Retainer Clip # KOD24FR is updated. They have been heat treated to increase strength 50%.

I attached a chart that has the automotive cross reference for the Kodiak disc brake pads part #K2250CP that you referenced under the yellow heading. Probably the easiest to look up would be 1982 to 1992 Chevy Cavalier.
