How Does Manual Lockout of Titan Brake Actuator part # T63FR Work
Published 09/09/2021 >
Question:
Copy and paste from description The reverse lockout can be engaged with a simple lever on the coupler. Once the lockout has been activated, you can back up your trailer without triggering the trailer brakes. Always remember to disengage the lockout mechanism when preparing to move forward. 4500600 Actuator with Lockout Lever - Drum I’m confused how this lever/ reverse works? How do you activate this. This lever can be pushed up but springs back down when released. If it would stay in the up position this would appear to work. I see in a manual on dexter site, this lever underneath is talked about to release the brakes for brake away cable. Not mentioned in the backing section.

Locking out a Titan Model 60 actuator like the part # T63FR that you referenced requires inserting the lock out tool into the into the slot right behind the portion of the coupler that inserts into the outer casing. I pointed out where in the attached picture. The second picture shows the tool.
