Will the OEM Trailer Hitch from a 1993 Mercury Grand Marquis Fit a 2001 Ford Crown Victoria

93 mercury marquis 88002 hitch compatible with 2001 ford crown vic? and where do i get replace bolts I trust muffler wont be in way by the ay if I go with the newer style hitch being it is a 2001 ford sedanb

I checked up on trailer hitch 88002 and found that it was an OEM hitch put on several vehicles. However, the 2001 Ford Crown Victoria is not one of the vehicles listed as a fit so I do not recommend trying to install it on the Ford.
For a hitch that will fit the Crown Vic the most popular Class III hitch is # 13707. I have included a link to a video showing a typical installation and a link to the installation instructions for you.
I also recommend the etrailer ball mount kit # EBMK4EL. It comes with a ball mount, interchangeable ball set, a hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. For trailer wiring use # C59236. I have linked instructions for the wiring as well.
