Connecting A 3rd Brake Light With The Pacer 3RD Brake Light Module On a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado

With module PP20-702 do you have to remove both tail lights to wire this module in on a 2018 Silverado? And do you know what color they are? Thanks

For your 2018 Chevrolet Silverado I have another way of connecting the 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702 so that you do not have to splice any wires in your tail lights.
The Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118384 will connect in line of the factory 7-way already on your Silverado. This gives you a 4-way flat trailer connector. To that you can attach a Wesbar 4-Pole Flat Connector w/ Jacketed Cable # W787270. This cable is protected with its heavy duty jacket and give you a place to disconnect your wiring if you need to remove your 3rd brake light. At the end of this cable near the light is the best place to splice in the 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702.
You will connect the yellow wires from the module separately to the green and yellow wires of the Wesbar connector. The green wire from the module will connect to the brake light portion of your 3rd brake light. The white wire from the Wesbar connector will act as the ground wire for your 3rd brake light. And if your 3rd brake light has a 3rd wire for the running lights, it can connect to the brown wire in the Wesbar harness.
