Question:
I just got a 2015 Silverado 2500 HD. I still have the wiring harness from my 2001 Silverado which I want to use . The wiring on the new truck appears to require a T harness just to power the trailer plus the overhead Lance. The truck comes equipped with factory-installed electric brakes. I need to know what kind of T harness to use and where to attach the 1 power wire under the hood. Help. camper wiring

To power the third brake light of the camper shell on your 2015 Chevy Silverado you are going to need to tap into the CHMSL (center high mount signal lamp) circuit of the truck. If you check the diagrams of the fuse boxes of the truck you should be able to track it down there. You can use a fuse tap to tap into this circuit.
Or, you can use a taillight converter like part # 118158 to tap into the trailer wiring signals to isolate the third brake light. Basically you would ground the white wire, run the green wire to the right stop/turn, run the yellow the left stop and turn and then on the opposite side of the box run the red wire to the third brake light.
