Question:

I have a 2021 Audi Q5 Premium Plus PHEV. I am looking for a trailer hitch and wiring harness. I see where you advise that the Curt 13331 will fit the hybrid. I have 2 concerns. 1 It has the S-Line trim. Any issue? 2 Installation video shows lifting the rear cargo panel where the spare is located to remove 2 bolts from the facia as well as connect to the battery for the wiring harness. I do not have a spare and the rear cargo floor is not removeable, at least not with a handle. The high voltage hybrid battery is found under this panel. Have you actually installed this on a hybrid?

The Curt # C13331 trailer hitch is rated for all models of 2021 Audi Q5 and will fit your PHEV with S-Line trim. With this installing in between the bumper beam and frame/body of the vehicle, there will be no issues getting it installed on the entire line up of Q5's.

We do have a couple options available for the wiring. The # C59496 will require splicing into the existing wiring, but will be a less expensive option. The Tekonsha ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT will be more expensive, but does not require splicing into the existing wires. I tend to suggest this harness for hybrids and luxury vehicles due to all the computer systems used in them.

With all that being said, we have not had the chance to install these on a PHEV model as of yet. I wasn't able to find much on the panel in the rear cargo area, but it will most likely need to be removed in much the same fashion. However, it looks like you may need to remove the tie down anchors since you do not have a handle to get access.
