Yes, the Curt Custom Base Plate Kit, # C32KR is a confirmed fit for the 2005 Jeep TJ. It is compatible with Curt and Blue Ox tow bars. I suggest the Curt Rambler Steel Tow Bar for Curt and Blue Ox Base Plates, # C26FR. This will have the needed safety cables with it, so no additional purchase needed.

Other parts you may need to flat tow your TJ are, wiring for the lights, a supplemental braking system, and a high-low adapter.

To power the Jeep's lights the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 includes the diodes, wiring, and connectors you'll need. I've linked the installation on a 2007 Jeep for you.

You also may need a supplemental braking system. The SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251 is a favorite around here because of how reliable it is and it's easier to install than many other permanently installed systems.
