Can I Mount a Winch On Top of a Dual Hitch Receiver?

Can I use the top receiver for a winch mount to pull logs onto my 8’x12’ trailer? The logs would weigh appx 500 lbs hope to use a 12,000 lb rated winch.

Expert Reply:
Yes, you will be able to use the top receiver opening on item # RM-077-2 for a hitch mounted winch to pull logs onto your trailer. I recommend going with the ComeUp Cub ATV Winch item # CU123933 with Mounting Plate for 2" Hitches. This winch comes with a 50 foot synthetic cable.
I also recommend getting a winch power cable extension. Item # BDW20219 is 15 feet long extension with quick connectors on both ends.
