Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter for your two inch hitch. This adapter is going to slide into your two inch hitch receiver and give you a second two inch receiver hitch when towing a trailer or flat towing your vehicle. You're gonna be able to use one receiver for your trailer or dinghy and use the other one for a cargo carrier or bike rack. Now this does have a gross towing weight of 10,000 pounds and a tongue weight of 400 pounds and this is going to give you a drop of 10 inches.
And let me go ahead and just confirm that with you here with my ruler. So I'm gonna be measuring from the top of one receiver to the top of our other one there. So let me try to line that up there just so you can see. So measuring top to top, as you can see, you're gonna get a drop of 10 inches. And then another measurement that I thought might be helpful for you is measuring on center, the distance between our hitch pin holes.
So it might be a little bit tricky there for you to see, but on center, looks like we're sitting right at about 10 and a half inches. And then measuring our rear hitch pin hole on center all the way to the end of our shank, it looks like we're sitting right at two inches. Now this is made here in the USA. It's constructed of solid steel and this does have a durable powder coat finish that's going to hold up really well against rust and corrosion. And this does not include a pin and clip or a hitch lock.
So if you don't already have a compatible hitch lock or pin or clip, that would be an additional item that you would have to pick up. And this does have a limited lifetime warranty from Roadmaster. Very solid and well built product. Allows us to put a bike rack high enough behind our motorhome as not to interfere with the towed vehicle behind. 10,000lb rating is probably overkill for what we use it for, but adds a sense of security!

Perfect for adding my bike rack on the back of the RV instead of my car. It's high enough for the two bike rack to clear the hood of my car when negotiating sharp turns.
Cargo carrier has square shank. Hitch has rounded edges so shank would not slide in. I'm returning it.
