do nitrogen tires run cooler than nose filled with air? Can I replace the air in the tire to cut my tires run cooler? Is this a Vinny advantage?

Helpful Expert Reply:
Nitrogen itself will not cause a trailer tire to run any cooler than a trailer tire filled with standard air, the only thing it will do is stay at a more stable pressure and volume to keep the tire properly inflated which can cause the tire to run cooler.
The main benefits of Nitrogen in tires is that it is more stable than air it will not increase/decrease pressure with temperature changes nearly as much, and due to its molecules being larger than those found in regular air it will not leak out of the rubber as much as standard air.
With that said Nitrogen is not something you can just add to a tire, it will need to be inflated/deflated multiple times to get all of the air and moisture out of the tire so there is not a huge benefit for the cost/time needed.
If a tire and wheel combination came with Nitrogen I would keep it like that, but I personally would not go out of my way to get the tire filled with Nitrogen.
