Question:

How do you get the base of the water inlet cap installed over the top of the hose connection knob? Does the knob that connects to the hose come off? Thanks for your help.

The Replacement Rubber Cap # 37262105 is designed to fit over a brass city water inlet like the RV City Water Inlet # 372321-B-36-A. The notch in the rubber cap will only allow for a limited amount of room to fit over the city water inlet.

If you have an inlet like the RV City Water Inlet # 372160-85-A-26A you will not be able to fit the cap over the inlet. The plastic is affixed to where it cannot be removed from the inlet. You can attach the cap by drilling a small hole into the strap and attaching it to the mounting hardware that holds in the water inlet. Or use the male side of the Valterra Drinking Water Hose Storage Caps # A0171VP to thread into the inlet.
