Question:
I have a 2018 Big Horn and the distance between the frame rails is 68 1/2 inches and the open portion of the rail is to the outside. Also would it not be better to have an additional 2 receivers for mounting a utility platform for carrying items like a small generator, firewood, etc?

Expert Reply:
The Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver for RVs, 22" to 72" Wide # 13703 can still be bolted on or welded onto your frame rail of your 2018 Heartland Bighorn 5th Wheel even though the open side is facing out. You can add a stacked receiver like the # 325-GH-624 to this hitch to carry multiple items but would still be limited to the hitch's 350 tongue weight capacity.
