I was wondering if my old backing plates and hubs that are the old, non EZ lube style, would fit on this axle.

The only difference between a Dexter E-Z Lube Trailer Axle like part # 7359765 and a standard axle is that the E-Z Lube have a small removal rubber plug in the end of the grease cap so you can access the zerk fitting. You can purchase a new grease caps for the old hubs with this rubber plug, the Lubed Dust Cap & Rubber Plug part # DC200L-DCRP.
