Bearing Buddy Recommendation for Trailer with Hub Bore of 1.975
Updated 04/22/2013 | Published 04/20/2013 >
Question:
I measured the inside dia of the hub at 1.975. The old grease cap out of round at 1.79 fits loose. Not sure what size I need or what to measure! Trailer is old, could pull bearing but do I need to?

It sounds like the Bearing Buddy Bearing Protector # BB1968SS is exactly the Bearing Buddy you would need since it is designed for 1.968 in hub bores and your measurement is very close to that.
If you wanted to be absolutely sure I would recommend you pull the outer bearing to see what you have. You most likely will have a M-12649 or 07100 bearing, and if you do then the # BB1968SS would be the correct kit for you.
