Bearing Buddy Recommendation for Hub Bore of 1.97 inches
Updated 10/30/2024 | Published 09/14/2016 >
Question:
I used an electronic caliper and find I need a 1.97 outside dimension for my hub. Any suggestions? I have tried a 1.98 and can not make it fit. Thanks, Bill

Helpful Expert Reply:
For a hub bore of 1.97 inches going with a Bearing Buddy part # BB1968SS would be the closest match. The .02 inch difference would only mean the Bearing Buddy would fit slightly easier.

What? You lost me. I have the same problem, just lost a dust cap, with my trailer with Dexter 8-283 drum hubs which are 1.97” same as the dust caps. I got 1.98” cap but will not fit. I have the cap in the freezer and will heat up the hub tomorrow and see if it will fit. If you have the 1.97 please let me know so I can order. I have been very pleased with etrailer on my past orders. Thank you
