Question:

Can I carry my cargo rack in the bottom 2 receiver and then have my bike rack, that holds 2 bikes, in the top 2 receiver for product number D-192?

Expert Reply:

Depending on your rack and carrier, they maybe able to be used at the same time, but more than likely, one will interfere with the other. Keep in mind the shape of your bike rack may interfere with loading cargo on your carrier and the carrier may be in the way of the bikes hanging down. If the cargo carrier has sides or rails that are tall, they may prevent the bike rack from being installed.

Additionally this adapter/extension has a tongue weight rating of 350 pounds. This means that the cargo carrier, cargo, bike rack and bikes cannot have a total weight of more than 350 pounds.

Part # D-192 was designed for use with a tow bar to tow a vehicle, and the upper opening for a bike rack or cargo carrier. Using a bike rack and cargo carrier at the same time would most likely overload the tongue weight rating.
