Fantastic Fan Roof Vent that Operates Intermittently
Updated 07/12/2021 | Published 07/08/2021 >
Question:
We have a 2015 Roadtrek CS with a Fan-tastic Fan. The fan motor has become intermittent. The lid lift motor operates consistently, so I know we have consistent power going to the unit as a whole. Ive played with the plunger switch at the lid and tested the connection there and it seems good - there is no corrosion or any way that connection could be bad. There is a blade connector for the hot wire that comes out of the unit motherboard and connects to the hot wire for the fan motor. I disconnected that and plugged my voltage tester into both ends - I get good voltage when the fan motor runs, and no voltage when the fan motor wont run. Is it possible for a faulty fan motor to break the circuit, or is this likely a motherboard issue where we would need to replace the whole unit?

It does sound like a damaged circuit board. The only way to get the replacement circuit board for your Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent is through part # FV807359, which is essentially all the main internal components, including the circuit board, screen assembly, powered lift, as well as a new remote control. Fan-Tastic Vent circuit boards aren't available separately, so this is your best option to get your fan back up and working again.
