Question:

the c terminal is for the switchboard, which is what? the m terminal is what the motor goes to. The b is terminal is for fuse and power supply? What if I do not have switchboard wire

For the Replacement 3-Speed Switch for Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent, part # FVK1031-05, the left terminal (B) is for the battery, the upper right (C) is for the circuit board, and the lower right (M) is for the motor. Refer to the picture below.

The colors the wires have are generally:
Battery - Black
Circuit Board - Yellow
Motor - Red

If your fan does not have 3 wires to connect to, then try connecting the two wires you have and testing to see if the switch still functions. If it does not, please ensure you have the correct switch. This one is meant to replace the Fan-Tastic Fan # FV803350.

@KevinM The Fan-tastic Vent model number can usually be found on a sticker located either on the fan blade or the mounting bracket of the assembly, especially for low-profile models. For domed or larger fans, the sticker may be found on the underside of the dome or on the fan housing itself.
