Question:

One of my three fantastic vents stopped working. It is model B2000RBT. The fan will run for a few minutes then stop. I also get the sense that it only runs in cooler temperatures making me think it a thermostat issue. Can I use this part to replace the “guts” of my B2000RBT or do I need to replace the entire unit?

The model number B2000RBT that you mentioned is the motor model number for the Fan-Tastic Roof Vent. If the fan only runs for a few minutes it sounds more likely that the fan motor is going out. First, it is a good idea to make sure you are getting adequate power to the fan. Check for any loose wiring and make sure you have a proper ground connection. I think your issue has to do with power to the motor or the motor itself because it is a common issue.

If you check your wiring and everything seems fine, I recommend to replace the fan and motor with part # FVK8017-00.
