Use this 17-rpm auto-lift motor to replace the damaged one in a Dometic FanTastic B Series roof vent with a powered lift arm.

Note: This replacement motor is designed for use in Dometic FanTastic roof vents with 17-rpm motors manufactured in 2014 or after. If your fan is of a lower rpm or manufactured before 2014, this motor will still work, but you will need to cross the wires. For example, instead of red to red and black to black, you will need to connect the red wire to the black wire and the the black wire to the red wire.

Now, if you're needing to replace a damaged 17 rpm auto-lift motor in your Fan-Tastic Vent B Series roof vent with a powered lift arm, then this just might be what you need. This replacement motor is designed for use in the Fan-Tastic Vent roof vents with a 17 rpm motor manufactured in 2014 or after. Now, if your fan is of a lower rpm or if it's manufactured before 2014, I have good news for you.
This will still work but you will need to cross the wires. For example, instead of the red wire, let me get you in frame here. Instead of the red to red and black to black, you would just need to connect the red wire to the black wire and the black wire to the red wire. And as I mentioned at the beginning of our time together, this is off-white in color. And you are going to get everything that you see here along with the mounting screws for your installation.

Easy install. This unit can be stopped anywhere by holding the handle during operation, or can be manually set :)

While the part was not an exact match to the old part because of manufacturer design changes over the years, it installed easily, fit correctly, and is still working fine a year later.
Use the white plastic trim from my old one and it works well. Although the price is in line with others, there is a huge profit margin on this part.

Still working but still can not justify the price for this part.

The new replacement motor continues to work flawlessly and it is much faster than the OEM part.

Part was just what the doctor ordered and replacement was simple: pull the old part (with a plastic gear) and plug in the new part. New part works like a charm and I don't expect it to fall apart anytime soon.
My Fantastic Fan is a '94 Airstream vintage. No exact replacement is available. Dometic gave me a replacement part # Which I couldn't find either. But the replacement part number for the Dometic # is this fan motor. I was able to retro fit this motor with a few spacers and a new gasket made to cover up the gaps from the old motor housing. It works great, faster, 17RPM vs. 7RPM. I am a happy camper.

The roof vent fan lift motor worked great. My motor still worked but the connector to the lift mechanism had broken. It was plastic connected to 2 metal shafts. The new motor came with a complete metal connector. So this failure was corrected. That makes me happy
The Fantastic Fan cover motor arrived today and has already been installed and works perfectly! Another picture perfect purchase from trailer!
Seems to be working fine it has not been used much since it was instalked
