Question:
The video was useful but did not address where to get power to run the jack. I dont know if the charge wire for the break away battery is adequate or what one would use.

When we installed the Bulldog Powered Drive Trailer Jack # BD500199 on the utility trailer we ran the power wire to the 7-way junction box. When demonstrating the jack the 7-way was plugged into a 12 volt power source similar to the power that will come from the charge line of your vehicle.
You will want to ensure that your charge circuit is working and does not have a damaged fuse or relay on your specific vehicle. Also when operating the jack you will want to be connected to the 7-way with the vehicle running. This is to prevent causing excessive drain on the vehicle battery and some vehicles will not send power to the charge line of the 7-way if the vehicle is off.
I recommend using Deka Heat Shrink Ring Terminal # DW05740-1 for the connection at the junction box and Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connectors # DW05745-5 if you need additional wiring to make it to the junction box.
