Question:
I want to verify that these hitches are actually in stock and will ship out immediately and not on Back Order. Curt Shows theirs out of stock. Not sure on the Draw-Tite. Question on what I see in the description. It says the Curt does not need a hole cut in the skid plate while the Draw-Tite does. Is this accurate? They look like the same hitch and have the same installation instructions. If I can leave the bolts out on the Draw-Tite and not cut a hole, I would prefer the Draw-Tite due to its extended receiver tube. Can they both be installed without cutting a hole in the skid plate? Draw -Tite PN 65080 Curt PN 31198

Helpful Expert Reply:
Both the Draw-Tite Front Receiver # 65080 and Curt Front Receiver # 31198 can be installed on your 2021 Toyota Tundra without cutting the hole in the skid plate. The purpose of the hole is to allow for easier access to the oil filter for routine maintenance. Both hitches when installed will limit your accessibility to the front bolts that hold in place the skid plate that will generally need to be removed to remove the oil filter.
Since this is a multi fit vehicle part I recommend checking to see if your skid plate will allow for the oil filter to be removed with the skid plate in place or if removal of the skid plate is required. If the skid plate removal is required then you would be best to drill the large hole to allow for easier access. Each receiver will have instructions on exactly where to drill for this hole and I have included both of them linked below.
