Question:
Planning to purchase a 2018 Tundra 4x4 soon, will both of these work with the 2018. Any issues with skid plate, changing oil, etc. Plan to mount a bike carrier for 2 bikes since a travel trailer will be on the back hitch.

On the Curt front mount receiver # 31198 there is a note stating that the skid shield will either have to be removed or you can trim it and reinstall in on your 2018 Toyota Tundra. For the Draw-Tite receiver # 65080 we have a note stating that the skid shield must be removed but nothing about being able to reinstall it.
Some customers have noted that they had to make or enlarge a hole on a bottom panel in order to be able to change the oil.
You may also consider using the Bike Bunk, # CC-275, or Straddler # S80503, mounted on the trailer frame to carry your bikes if you determine the front hitch is not the best option for you. Another option is the Jack-It 2 Bike Rack, # LC429756, which mounts with an A-frame jack. This one also comes with the bike rack already.
