Question:

I just purchased a 2021 ram 2500 short bed with the M20 factory puck mount 5th wheel hitch. My 5th wheel has a sidewinder style pinbox that I would need to use in the wedged configuration to provide enough clearance between trailer and cab. I cannot find information on the Mopar factory M20 hitch head as to if it is sidewinder compatible. I am wondering if the Curt A16 hitch head would bolt into the RAM oem hitch head head mount?

I have a solution for you on this, but the Mopar hitch for the Ram OEM pucks is not compatible with a Sidewinder style pin box; it's really just a re-branded Curt Q20 head # C16530 so the spherical axial bearing that it has won't work with a rotating pin box.

For this reason you'll need a hitch like the Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Ram Towing Prep Package - Slide Bar Jaw - 16,000 lbs # C16515-16021. This is compatible with Sidewinders when used with Sidewinder Wedge # C16991.
