Can a Reese Sidewinder be Used with a B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch

Can I use a Reese sidewinder with a B and W companion hitch? Do I need a special wedge?

Only certain B&W Companion 5th wheel trailer hitches are compatible with Sidewinder pin boxes like the RP61412. Basically if it is a Companion that mounts in the 4 pucks of a factory prep package then it can be used with a Sidewinder. But if the Companion is the type that mounts just in the gooseneck ball hole then it is not compatible.

If you do have the Companion that mounts in the 4 pucks then the custom wedge you would need is # SWW-06.

@DevynS The B&W companion type that mounts to the gooseneck ball hole cannot be used with a sidewinder, because B&W specifically says it can't. Basically the connection being a single metal tube is not strong enough to handle the side-to-side stress placed on it by a sidewinder.
