How many miles would you typically expect the bushings to last on a dual axle open car trailer loaded with a car around 4000lbs? Would using wet bolts and bronze bushings make a worthwhile improvement?

Expert Reply:
The longevity of trailer leaf spring bushings vary largely by use and maintenance practices, I don't have a mileage estimate which is the case for most trailer related components. If you need to replace yours we have the Nylon Bushing 9/16" Diameter part # TRBU11566 which is most common. In order to improve longevity, I recommend using wet bolts, the Wet Equalizer Bolt part # 126B2.
