Can I Replace 2-5/8" Long Shackle Straps With 2-1/4" Shackles?

Question:
Ive got the 6 Long, 4 tall EQ-310 Equalizer and Ive seen that the kits that include that equalizer is usually include shackle straps of 2-1/4. I measured my shackle straps and they are around the 2-5/8 length will that be an issue for me?

Hello Jason. Generally, we do want the shackle size to be an exact match, but a difference of 3/8" should not be an issue. There is a bit of tolerance when replacing shackles but anything less than 1/2" is considered acceptable. The MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit # MR46ZR comes with 2-1/4" long HD shackles, wet bolts and bronze bushings so this is definitely what I recommend.

Hey Jason, how did things work out with the MORryde suspension kit and the 2-1/4" shackles on your setup? It’d be great to hear if the small length difference caused any issues. Your update could make it easier for others working with the same equalizer.
