Does the Curt C13381 Include Mounting Bolts for a 2021 VW Tiguan

I have the Curt hitch and prepared to mount it, per instructions provided. There are two problems with the instructions: 1. Volkswagen does not put the bolts needed to hang the hitch in the body frame anymore. This apparently started with the 2021 Tiguan. This is according to a service manager at a VW dealership. 2. The instructions specify the following bolt size: M10 - 1.5 * 40mm hex flange bolts. I have these, tried them, and they are too small for the hole in the body frame. Can you please tell me what the correct bolt size is for a 2021 Tiguan? I really appreciate any help you are able to provide. Thank you in advance for doing so.

This is actually something that we have run into with the 2021 VW Tiguan. Curt is aware of this and is updating their hitches to come with hardware. That being said, the new instructions I found utilize 7/16-14 x 1 1/2 Grade 8 carriage bolts to attach the # C13381 to your vehicle. They do have a few odd parts for this installation, so you could purchase our Hitch Hardware Kit # RHK and we will get everything put together and shipped out for you.
